“Heavenly Music”
Volume 11
The range and variety of this enthusiastic collection of hymns and songs related to the worship of God, and its description of Heaven, distinguishes it immediately, from all previous ventures in this subject of church music.
Here are no less than sixty-eight entrancing hymns, each a
satisfying testimony to its author and composer, telling of the inspirations
given to these men and women, to create them.
Each hymn is presented in a characteristically short, fresh,
and engaging manner, encouraging the Church Piper to remember the distinctive
genius for originality, that gave these hymns birth; the consequent excitement
of being able to relate the words of God in poetry and song.
In addition to long established favourites such as, “My God
And I,” “Over The Sunset Mountains,” and “The Master Has Come,” is a host of
new hymns whose marvelous messages will attract the most discerning and
experienced Church Piper like, ”The Only Way To Heaven,” “We’ll Understand it
Better,” and “Some Golden Daybreak.”
All will enrich the heart and mind of the piper, with knowledge, appreciation
and greater inspiration to play to God from his or her heart.
All the essentials for worship are here; the poems, the
music, the Scripture upon which the hymns received their inspiration, and the
individuality of the authors and composers; all of this, combined with the
dedication of the soloist himself or herself, to play to the glory of God.
There are familiar old hymns, refreshing new ones, and
interesting discourses that will transport you from times long ago to the
present, and to the eternal years ahead in Heaven; to cause the conscientious
piper to be enraptured, made spellbound by the suggestion, that while he or she
is now actively praising God through music, and helping others to do the same,
he or she has the ultimate assurance of a very welcome membership in God’s
Ineffable Pipe Band, in God’s Kingdom of Heaven.
