This music book will provide suitable music for funeral services and services of remembrance, both private and military. It is a revision of the original, “Church Piper,” and it includes in its 33 titles, some of the most loved hymns, such as “Nearer, My God, To Thee,” “Love Divine,” and “Amazing Grace.”
For pipers who are involved in funeral services and services of remembrance, both private and military, this music book will provide suitable music.
The original Church Piper, unavailable for several years, while other hymnbooks in the series were being introduced, is now restored by popular demand. Careful revisions of the music here and there, will help to draw greater expression from The Great Highland Bagpipe, where soul-touching melodies are essential.
Some of the most loved hymns are included. They are suitable to such sacred occasions as Remembrance Day and funeral services for friends and family members. Hymns such as “Nearer My God To Thee,” “Love Divine,” and “Amazing Grace” will be found here among the thirty-three nicely arranged hymns for ‘pipes.
A new message has been added. It is, "Be Still And Know," which
was inspired by a minister's eulogy to a dear friend of the Church
Piper. It is shared with pipers internationally.
